Job description
š This is mainly an office-based role between Bristol and Bridgwater, with around 3-4 days per week expected in the office. Occasional working from home, site visits and supplier visits may also be required. You will support electrical support systems on a major nuclear infrastructure project.
Key responsibilities:
- Review supplier drawings for fabricated electrical support systems.
- Assess SHS sections, base plates, brackets and channels.
- Review anchor, fixing and concrete embedment details.
- Coordinate cable tray, ladder and containment support systems.
- Identify fabrication, access, clash and constructability issues early.
- Work with suppliers, site teams and engineering stakeholders.
- Support documentation for blocked or non-conforming supports.
- Assist with bills of quantities and support trackers.
- Provide input on welded and bolted support assemblies.
- Resolve supplier comments, technical queries and non-conformance issues.
š ļø Nuclear experience is not essential, but is of course welcome. If you have worked within a highly regulated environment, your skills and approach are highly transferable and of strong interest to us.

Essential experience:
- Electrical or Mechanical engineering background with fabricated supports experience.
- Understanding of anchors, fixings, base plates or bolted connections.
- Ability to review drawings and identify buildability issues.
- Awareness of welded steelwork or fabricated bracket assemblies.
- Experience working with suppliers, site teams or contractors.
- Background in nuclear, heavy industry, steel or power, or any other similar fields
Desirable experience
- Cable tray, cable ladder or containment support experience.
- Experience with NCRs, technical queries or supplier comments.
- Awareness of EN 1090 or fabricated steelwork standards.
- Familiarity with Teamcenter, Navisworks, CEMAR or similar tools.
