Job Overview Fairview Health Services is searching for a hardworking RN who is looking for an exciting career in our Cancer Clinic. This position is approved at 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period) and is scheduled Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The primary work locations include two days per week at St. John’s and two days per week at Woodwinds, with the remaining day determined based on operational needs. This position is approved for hours 80 hours every two weeks and we believe the schedule will be Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Provides professional, quality, compassionate service to patients. Carries out assigned nursing tasks and medical oncology orders as delegated by medical oncologists to support patient care. Serves as a positive role model to clinical support staff. Provides knowledgeable explanations of medical oncology treatments and non-urgent side effects/symptom management. Responsibilities Provides care appropriate to adult patients with cancer and hematological disorders. Assess data reflective of the patient's status, and interprets appropriate information needed to identify each patient's needs in relation to age and to provide the care needed as described. Assists with procedures and assessing lab values as needed and directed by providers. Processes and documents prescription refill requests promptly and accurately. Uses appropriate systems to obtain patient information or assist with scheduling. Assists with scheduling referrals as directed by the provider. Releases patient information from the electronic medical record to the appropriate recipient according to HealthEast policy. Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards. Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements. Performs other responsibilities as needed/assigned.
