What We Offer The Student Nurse Apprentice I (SNA I) serves as a member of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system. The SNA I provides and documents assistance to patients with activities of daily living, comfort measures, and maintains a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse. What We're Looking For Education : High School or GED, required. Current student in accredited nursing program. Experience : Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096. Licensure/Certification (required ): Completion Novant Health sponsored training program. Life Support Responder (within 90 days of employment). Completion of Novant Health Safety Attendant Training. Additional Skills/Requirements (preferred ): Basic computer skills for documentation. Upon completion of the Novant Health sponsored training program, the SNA I works within the guidelines of nursing and Novant Health policies and procedures. Must exhibit strong communication skills; ability to write effectively; effective computer skills, and strong customer service skills. Medical Unit Receptionist (MUR) and Safety Attendant duties may be assigned as determined by unit leaders and unit needs. If needed in the MUR role, the SNA I must be able to perform the MUR skills as indicated in the MUR job description. If needed in the Safety attendant role, the SNA I must complete appropriate training and be able to perform the Safety Attendant skills as indicated in the Safety Attendant job description.
