Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong domain expertise across Capital Markets and Fund Accounting, with deep involvement in Trade Lifecycle Processing and trade date–driven post-trade workflows. The role requires hands-on experience in business and systems analysis, Scrum delivery exposure, and strong SQL skills. The candidate will work closely with Operations, Product Owners, IT development teams, QA Automation, and Delivery leadership to drive clear requirements, identify system and process gaps, and enable effective execution of business change initiatives. Very strong communication and interpersonal skills are critical for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Act as a domain-focused Business Analyst supporting Capital Markets initiatives across Middle office, Backoffice applications.
Provide deep functional support for Trade Lifecycle Processing, including trade validation, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation, and exception handling
Support Middle office, Backoffice and custody workflows
Analyze trade date–driven processing and its impact on downstream settlement, claims, and reconciliation systems
Work closely with Operations teams to understand current-state processes, pain points, and control gaps
Analyze end-to-end functional flows across multiple upstream and downstream systems
Identify, document, and analyze system and process gaps for new business, regulatory, or operational requirements
Perform detailed impact analysis and gap analysis between systems for new or enhanced functionality
Prepare high-quality Business Specification Documents (BSD), functional specifications, and requirement artefacts for application teams
Create clear process flow diagrams, system flow diagrams, and data flow diagrams
Document business rules, validations, exception handling, data dependencies, and processing timelines
Collaborate closely with Product Owners, IT Developers, QA Automation teams, Delivery Managers, and Technical Leads
Support Agile delivery through backlog grooming, sprint planning, requirement clarifications, and sprint reviews
SQL & Data Analysis
Hands-on SQL usage to validate business scenarios and trade lifecycle events
Analyze and reconcile data across trade capture, settlement, claims, and downstream reporting systems
Support Operations and QA teams with investigation and root-cause analysis
Understand data models, relationships, and dependencies to assess system impact and data consistency
Exposure to User Acceptance Testing (UAT) coordination and defect triage
Experience in regulated, high-volume capital markets or financial services environments
Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence for requirements, documentation, and delivery tracking
Agile / Scrum Exposure
Strong practical exposure to Agile / Scrum delivery models
Work closely with Product Owners to refine, prioritize, and clarify requirements
Support backlog grooming, sprint planning, and sprint review activities
Break down business requirements into user stories with clear and testable acceptance criteria
Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and scrum delivery teams
Stakeholder & Communication Management
Engage effectively with Operations teams, Product Owners, and senior business stakeholders
Collaborate closely with IT Developers, Automation Testers, Delivery Managers, and Engineering Leads
Ensure consistent, clear, and timely communication across business and technology teams
Proactively resolve requirement ambiguities, dependency risks, and delivery misalignments
Support UAT coordination, production readiness activities, and post-release clarifications
Must-Have Skills
Strong domain experience in Fund Accounting, Middle office , including Trade Lifecycle Processing
Experience analyzing trade date–driven post-trade and settlement workflows
Proven experience in business and functional requirement analysis
Hands-on experience preparing BSDs, functional specifications, and flow diagrams
Strong SQL skills for data analysis, validation, and reconciliation
Experience working in Agile / Scrum delivery environments
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities
Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Finance, or equivalent practical experience
10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in enterprise-scale systems
Strong background in Fund Accounting, post-trade processing, or Capital Markets
Experience working with cross-functional and globally distributed teams
Work Requirement
