As a Cloud Architect at Red Hat, you will be a key leader in our Professional Services organization. You will move beyond simple execution to shape the way our most strategic customers adopt container technologies and Artificial Intelligence. By aligning technical possibilities with business outcomes, you'll be responsible for providing technical leadership to project teams while ensuring the quality of customer deliverables across multiple engagements.

You'll apply well-developed technology, consulting, business, and process expertise in the implementation of quality work while actively coaching and mentoring others.

In this role, you'll need to be proficient in building deep good customer relationships as you will often play a key role in managing expectations at the highest levels. You will act as a customer advocate, designing the right solutions and ensuring that they are implemented and supported in an innovative and reliable way. You will play a pivotal role in the "Discovery" phase of engagements, translating high-level business requirements into actionable architecture designs. This is an unique opportunity to build on your core base of knowledge and work in a fast-paced environment promoting Red Hat’s cutting-edge solutions.

What you will do:

  • Strategic Scoping and Solution Design: Lead the initial qualification and scoping of delivery projects. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that technical proposals are realistic, valuable, scalable, and perfectly aligned with the customer's strategic goals.

  • Architecture & Discovery Workshops: Deliver high-impact discovery, analysis, and design workshops for teams of both technical and non-technical backgrounds that shape and inspire customer use cases and architectural decisions.

  • Technical Leadership & Delivery: Provide technical leadership to project teams. Support delivery projects and guide customers through successful deployments for our infrastructure solutions, specifically Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

  • AI Platform Engineering: Design and implement automated, containerized cloud application platform solutions with a focus on infrastructure concerns including networking, storage, virtualization, security, logging, monitoring, and high availability and system resilience

  • Trusted Advisory & Advocacy: Become a respected and trusted subject matter expert at the customer site, addressing their architectural, technical, development, and strategic IT requirements. Act as a strategic advisor within Red Hat for the customer, identifying opportunities for expanded solution adoption and contributing to Project Approach Documents and SOW (Statement of Work).

  • Community & Knowledge Leadership: Participate in mentoring and knowledge transfer to customers and contribute your knowledge and experience back into the wider Red Hat community for the benefit of other teams and customers. Mentor junior consultants and document best practices and "Open Practice" methodologies for the benefit of the entire ecosystem.

What you will bring:

  • 5+ Years of experience in a solution architect, enterprise architect or consultant role, with a proven background in customer engagement, ideally within a consulting services organization or a services division of a software vendor.

  • An understanding of the Open Source community. A genuine passion for open source technologies and collaborative development models is a plus

  • A proactive approach to identifying potential areas for service expansion and supporting the project definition phase by focusing on the "why" and "what" of a solution to maximize customer ROI.

  • A balanced blend of strategic vision and tactical execution, with the capacity for creative problem-solving in rapidly evolving technology domains.

  • Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification and /or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) certification and experience with Open Practices is a plus
