Senior Quality Manager – Asia (Delhi/Gurugram)
Location: Delhi
Travel: Regular travel across Asia (China, Japan, Philippines) and occasional travel to the U.S.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Manager – Asia to join our global operations team. In this role, you will serve as the company’s on-site quality leader across our Asian supply base, ensuring suppliers meet BusPatrol’s standards for quality, compliance, and reliability.
This position requires a senior professional who is highly independent, detail-oriented, and committed to integrity. The Senior Quality Manager will play a critical role in bridging engineering, manufacturing, and corporate leadership — ensuring that new products launch successfully and that ongoing supplier quality is consistently maintained.
Supplier Quality Oversight
- Lead supplier quality management across India and Asia, ensuring compliance with BusPatrol policies, customer requirements, and international standards.
- Audit suppliers and manufacturing processes to verify compliance and maintain readiness.
- Provide clear, actionable reporting on supplier performance, risks, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain independence and objectivity in all supplier relationships.
- Work closely with BusPatrol’s engineering group.
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Act as the primary quality liaison between BusPatrol Engineering and overseas manufacturing partners during NPI.
- Oversee execution of EVT/DVT builds, EOL (End of Line), FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) and manufacturing line readiness.
- Provide a quality and manufacturability perspective on test plans, certifications, and process requirements.
- Audit and validate supplier readiness to ensure quality and reliability before production ramp.
- Support documentation requirements (PPAP, ECR/ECN, etc.) in collaboration with the HQ Document Control team.
Supplier Quality & Issue Resolution
- Lead investigations into supplier and manufacturing quality issues, including endemic failures and systemic component issues.
- Drive root cause analysis and 8D reporting, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented in line with BusPatrol policies and contractual agreements.
- Collaborate with internal teams — including Engineering and Field Installation & Service Operations — to capture field data and address quality concerns.
- Act as the company’s liaison for direct supplier interaction during escalations and supplier interventions.
What We’re Looking For
- 10–15 years of experience in Quality Management, Supplier Quality Engineering, or Manufacturing Oversight within global supply chains.
- Strong working knowledge of ISO/TS standards, PPAP, APQP, and related quality frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience supporting NPI activities, including EVT/DVT/PVT builds, EOL builds, PPAP submissions, and ECR/ECN/NCR deliverables.
- Hands-on experience leading root cause analysis, corrective actions, and 8D closure with suppliers.
- Familiarity with PLM workflows and working alongside document control teams.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to global stakeholders.
- Proven track record of integrity, independence, and reliability in supplier management.
- Comfortable with extensive international travel (Asia + U.S.). Must have vaild passport with no restriction of entry into the following countries: USA, Japan, China, Vietnam, Philippines, etc.
- Based in Delhi.
- Familiarity with GD&T, and ability to interpret drawings and schematics.
