Job Summary
To support the Transactional Lending credit risk function by delivering high quality, data driven analysis across the credit lifecycle for unsecured revolving credit products, including Overdrafts and Enhanced Credit Facilities (ECF). The role supports acquisition and portfolio strategies through analytical insights, performance monitoring, reporting, and governance support, ensuring alignment with internal credit risk frameworks and regulatory requirements.Job Description
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Credit Risk Strategy & Acquisition Decisioning
Develop, maintain, and enhance credit risk models and decisioning strategies for new customer acquisitions.
Analyse applicant risk profiles, behavioural indicators, and bureau data to optimise approval rates while maintaining portfolio quality.
Support the design, testing, and implementation of acquisition credit strategies, scorecards, and cut-off policies.
Monitor acquisition risk performance, including approval rates, bad rates, early delinquencies, and loss metrics.
2. Portfolio Performance & Risk Analysis
Conduct cohort and segment-level analysis to evaluate risk trends across newly acquired customers.
Assess the impact of credit policy changes on portfolio growth, credit losses, and profitability.
Identify emerging risk trends and propose mitigation actions to enhance portfolio performance.
Support stress testing and scenario analysis for acquisition strategies.
3. Reporting & Business Insights
Produce regular acquisition risk dashboards, MI, and performance reports for management and key stakeholders.
Translate analytical insights into clear, data-driven recommendations for Credit, Product, and Commercial teams.
Present risk findings and strategy recommendations to senior stakeholders across Risk, Finance, and Business.
Qualifications & Experience (Minimum requirements):
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or a related quantitative field.
2+ years’ experience in credit risk analytics, preferably within unsecured or transactional lending.
Proficiency in SAS for analysing large datasets.

Education
