Job description
**Essential Duties**
- Jump into action! Attend to residents' personal care needs with enthusiasm and help with ADLs whenever they need a hand—whether that's bathing, dressing, meal time, laundry, or other daily essentials. Pay attention to the details that matter (combed hair, tied shoes, fresh oral hygiene, etc.).
- Be a care detective! Anticipate and spot any resident care needs before they become issues—whether it's hygiene needs, broken eyeglasses, a skin rash, missing hearing aids, or supply shortages—and report your findings to your supervisor.
- Be the communication champion! Keep the lines open with your supervisor and teammates to stay in the loop about resident issues and create a supportive care environment.
- Keep a watchful eye on resident safety and well-being—you're their advocate and their peace of mind.
- Stay alert and report any suspicions of abuse, neglect, or misappropriation of resources as required by regulation. Your voice matters!
- Be the first to notice and report any changes in resident status or health to your supervisor—big or small, we want to know.
- Monitor and document resident conditions as directed—keeping accurate records is part of the care team magic.
- Partner with residents on their prescribed daily medication routine in accordance with state law, making sure everything runs smoothly.
- Speak up! Alert the RN/LPN and/or supervisor if you have any questions or concerns about medication records or supplies.
- Keep things organized! Ensure timely documentation of any medication refusals or treatment concerns—accuracy is key.
- Restock medication carts, drawers, and storage areas with supplies (gloves, sanitizer cups, etc.) to keep everything running smoothly.
- Complete work orders to communicate necessary replacements or repairs—help keep our space in top shape.
- Show up and shine at monthly staff meetings! Participate actively and contribute your insights on resident and departmental needs.
