Position Overview International Motors in Huntsville AL is hiring! International Motors is seeking a seasoned Senior Information Systems Manager to lead all aspects of Information Technology for the Huntsville Powertrain Plant and to serve as a critical ambassador between Manufacturing and Central IT. This role is the single point of accountability for plant IT, ensuring manufacturing has the stable, reliable, and responsive technology required to meet production, quality, and safety objectives. This role represents manufacturing priorities within the enterprise IT organization while also translating enterprise IT strategy, standards, tech debt needs, and capabilities into practical, value driven solutions for the plant. The IT Site Manager balances near term operational stability with longer term digital manufacturing initiatives, ensuring technology investments are appropriately prioritized, sequenced, and governed to deliver measurable business outcomes. This role provides stewardship of the Plant IT Roadmap, supporting its development, execution, and ongoing alignment with plant business priorities and enterprise IT strategy. Reporting to Manufacturing IT Leadership, this on site role requires deep engagement with plant leadership, frontline operations, and centralized IT teams in a fast paced, mission critical manufacturing environment Responsibilities Serve as the single point of accountability and primary IT liaison for Huntsville Powertrain plant leadership Build and maintain strong partnerships with manufacturing, operations, engineering, quality, and support functions Represent manufacturing priorities and operational realities within Central IT while advocating enterprise IT strategy, standards, and capabilities to the plant Develop, own, and execute the Plant IT Roadmap, aligning plant priorities with enterprise IT strategy and funding cycles Ensure reliable delivery, stability, and performance of plant critical IT systems, including ERP integrations, MES, shopfloor applications, and infrastructure Manage IT service delivery, including incident management, outage communication, escalation, and issue resolution Own lifecycle management of plant specific and federated applications, including installation, upgrades, patching, and retirement Ensure plant systems comply with corporate IT, cybersecurity, and architecture standards Manage relationships with local IT vendors and service providers and ensure SLA compliance Lead and develop the local IT team, including coaching, performance management, and skills development Develop, manage, and optimize the plant IT budget, covering hardware, software, licensing, and services Facilitate Plant IT Council forums to align priorities, funding, execution status, risks, and key decisions Drive digital manufacturing and Industry 4.0 initiatives, including automation, shopfloor data visualization, analytics, and IoT adoption Partner with corporate IT and operations to pilot, implement, and scale digital solutions that deliver measurable business value Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of information systems/information technology experience At least 3 years of lead experience OR Master's degree and at least 5 years of information systems/information technology experience At least 3 years of lead experience OR At least 10 years of information systems/information technology experience At least 3 years of lead experience Additional Requirements Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. Strong business acumen with the ability to connect IT capabilities to manufacturing outcomes. Demonstrated experience in vendor and service provider management. Highly action oriented, able to remove roadblocks and drive results in a plant environment. Organized, resilient, and comfortable managing multiple priorities simultaneously. Exhibits intellectual curiosity, integrity, and a passion for applying technology to improve manufacturing performance.
