What you'll do We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a blend of back and front-end experience to join our team to help us build and scale the next generation of the platform and customer-facing features. As a senior member of the team, you will help drive the architecture and development of services to build an innovative integration solution, incorporating cutting-edge AI orchestration and agentic frameworks. You will work with your team to build an outstanding software organization that is responsible for delivering SaaS products that meet the needs of our wide range of customers and their workflows. Our team focuses on distributed decision-making that rewards ownership, clarity, and partnership. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Engineering Manager. Responsibility Be responsible for delivering products that delight customers while maintaining the health of the codebase through continuous refactoring and management of technical debt Architect and lead the development of Agentic systems and MCP-based integrations to enhance platform intelligence and connectivity Work with your team to deliver software standard processes, automated test strategies, and flatten the cost of change for our software products and services Think about how to tackle problems at scale and build fault-tolerant systems, including the management of non-deterministic AI outputs Develop high-quality, ship-ready code that is covered by a full test suite Design and develop a web-scale service that follows microservice principles and is deployed using containerized cloud technologies Work with Product Management and other developers to understand and translate marketing requirements into design requirements and provide estimates for development Work as part of a cross-site development team to drive design, implementation, testing, and release of product Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a proven track record of delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade applications Coding and design experience, preferably in an OO programming language like C#, Node.js, or Python Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, or Python Expertise in Agentic Understanding: Ability to design and implement autonomous agent workflows and deterministic AI processes Hands-on experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) to facilitate secure, scalable communication between LLMs and enterprise data sources Experience with git, continuous integration, and deployment tools Experience in unit testing Preferred A Computer Science degree or a related technical field Excellent communication skills Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
