Role: Business Analyst
Experience Level: 2+ Years
Work location: Mumbai, Bangalore & Trivandrum
Notice Period: 0-15 days
Role & Responsibilities:
Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business requirements effectively for financial projects.
Apply strong understanding of core financial concepts, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).
Familiarity with financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and treasury operations.
Understand and consider financial regulations in requirements gathering.
Utilize excellent analytical skills to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.
Communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Build strong relationships and manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.
Work within Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies.
Skills expectation:
Requirements Management: Proven ability to elicit, analyze, document, and manage business requirements effectively.
Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of core financial concepts, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Familiarity with financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and treasury operations. Understanding of financial regulations.
Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.
Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.
Tools: Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies.
Domain Knowledge: Finance / Good to have Sage Intact GL knowledge.
Good to Have Skills: SQL logic , Familiarity with financial ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intact) is highly desirable.
