Role: Business Analyst

Experience Level: 2+ Years 

Work location: Mumbai, Bangalore & Trivandrum 

Notice Period: 0-15 days

Role & Responsibilities: 

  • Elicit, analyze, document, and manage business requirements effectively for financial projects.

  • Apply strong understanding of core financial concepts, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow).

  • Familiarity with financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and treasury operations.

  • Understand and consider financial regulations in requirements gathering.

  • Utilize excellent analytical skills to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.

  • Communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Build strong relationships and manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.

  • Work within Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies.

Skills expectation: 

  • Requirements Management: Proven ability to elicit, analyze, document, and manage business requirements effectively.

  • Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of core financial concepts, accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS), and financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow). Familiarity with financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and treasury operations. Understanding of financial regulations.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical skills to break down complex problems, identify root causes, and propose practical solutions.

  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Stakeholder Management: Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and manage expectations with diverse stakeholders.

  • Tools: Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

  • Methodologies: Experience working in Agile/Scrum and Waterfall project methodologies.

  • Domain Knowledge: Finance / Good to have Sage Intact GL knowledge.

  • Good to Have Skills: SQL logic , Familiarity with financial ERP systems (e.g., Sage Intact) is highly desirable.
