Job description

Porch & Vehicle Management:

  • Monitor lobby access and prevent unauthorised entry; inform management of VIP movements
  • Coordinate smooth vehicular traffic flow and enforce parking time limits (5-6 minutes peak, 10-15 minutes off-peak)
  • Ensure valet parking procedures are followed, including vehicle inspection, guest matching, and key management
  • Prevent unauthorised removal of hotel property

Gate & Access Control:

  • Oversee all gate operations (Associate Gate, Main Entrance, Receiving Bay) ensuring compliance with security procedures
  • Enforce frisking, vehicle checking, and gate pass procedures for associates, visitors, and vendors
  • Prevent unauthorised personnel access to restricted areas (Diesel Yard, Heart of House)
  • Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly security records

Receiving & Logistics:

  • Coordinate inward and outward movement of materials, supplies, and contractors
  • Verify all items through cargo scanning and authorised gate passes
  • Restrict unauthorised personnel and ensure proper visitor passes and departmental escorts

Guest Areas & Property Security:

  • Conduct hourly rounds of public areas and Heart of House to ensure no unauthorised persons, unattended luggage, or open rooms
  • Verify vendor and visitor authorisation passes
  • Investigate security indications (fire alarms, panic buttons, missing items) and document findings

TEAM MANAGEMENT & TRAINING

  • Train security associates on emergency procedures, SOPs (Fire, First Aid, Bomb Threat, Natural Calamities), and gate pass procedures
  • Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign responsibilities; ensure mobile phones are deposited during duty
  • Monitor team performance and report progress to management
  • Ensure all associates understand operational requirements and deliver expected outcomes

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Report 15 minutes early in clean uniform; review log books, message books, and previous shift briefings
  • Conduct twice-daily security audits and weekly property walk-arounds with documentation
  • Ensure all offices, departments, and fire exits are locked and unobstructed during rounds
  • Maintain security log books documenting all events, incidents, and investigations
  • Ensure compliance with BCAS/Delhi Police security programmes and safety checklists
  • Conduct monthly critical zone and safety reviews
  • Perform additional tasks assigned by management or noted in message/log books
