We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Raffles & Fairmont Doha as our new Lifeguard.

As a Lifeguard at Raffles Doha and Fairmont Doha, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safety, vigilance, and guest care across all swimming and recreational water areas. Acting as a trusted guardian of guest wellbeing, you will uphold the refined service excellence and elegance of both Raffles and Fairmont by maintaining a secure, welcoming, and impeccably managed pool environment.

You will play a vital role in delivering a seamless luxury leisure experience by proactively monitoring aquatic areas, responding swiftly and professionally to any incidents, and providing attentive assistance to guests. Through your constant presence, calm professionalism, and attention to detail, you will contribute to creating an atmosphere where guests can relax with complete confidence and peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain constant vigilance over all swimming and recreational water areas, ensuring guest safety is upheld in accordance with the highest Raffles & Fairmont standards.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of pool areas to prevent incidents, respond promptly to emergencies, and provide immediate assistance when required.
  • Deliver attentive, courteous, and discreet guest service while maintaining a calm and reassuring presence at all times.
  • Maintain full knowledge of pool facilities, operating procedures, safety regulations, and hotel leisure offerings to assist guests effectively.
  • Coordinate closely with Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, Security, and Wellness teams to ensure a seamless and safe guest experience.
  • Ensure all safety equipment is regularly inspected, properly maintained, and readily available in line with brand and compliance standards.
  • Proactively guide guests on pool rules, safe usage, and recreational guidelines while maintaining a respectful and luxury-focused approach.
  • Respond to guest concerns or incidents with professionalism, efficiency, and empathy, ensuring proper reporting and follow-up procedures are completed.
  • Monitor environmental conditions, water quality, and overall pool area presentation to uphold impeccable safety and aesthetic standards.
  • Maintain accurate incident reports and documentation in accordance with hotel policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Uphold strict confidentiality of guest information and consistently follow Raffles & Fairmont brand standards and operational procedures.
  • Support daily operational tasks and contribute to a well-organized, collaborative, and service-driven leisure environment.
  • Embody the elegance, attentiveness, and anticipatory service culture of Raffles & Fairmont Doha in every guest interaction.

What will you bring to this role?

  • Previous experience as a Lifeguard, Pool Attendant, Recreation Attendant, or similar role within a luxury hotel or premium leisure environment is preferred.
  • Strong awareness, vigilance, and ability to maintain constant attention to guest safety in aquatic environments.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills in English; additional languages are an advantage when assisting an international guest profile.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a calm, confident, and approachable manner when engaging with guests.
  • Professional guest interaction skills with the ability to provide clear safety guidance while maintaining a warm, luxury service tone.
  • Ability to remain alert and effective in a dynamic, fast-paced leisure environment while ensuring consistent attention to detail.
  • Good physical fitness and the ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations when required.
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with Recreation, Front Office, Security, and Engineering teams.
  • Basic knowledge of pool operations, safety procedures, and facility maintenance standards is an advantage.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and commitment to upholding safety and brand standards.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays, in line with operational requirements of Raffles & Fairmont Doha.
