Food Safety & Hygiene Supervisor

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Food Safety & Hygiene Supervisor. The primary responsibility of this role is to work closely with food handling departments and the Food Safety & Hygiene Manager to supervise, implement, and ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards across all food outlets, while maintaining regulatory compliance and high-quality standards.

What you will be doing:

  • Supervise and conduct regular inspections and audits of food production processes, facilities, and equipment to ensure full compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support and deliver training sessions to employees on food safety practices, including proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and disposal procedures.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of food safety and hygiene programs and recommend corrective actions and continuous improvements where required.
  • Investigate food safety incidents, guest complaints, and non-conformities, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions are implemented.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality assurance, and operations to ensure smooth implementation of food safety standards.
  • Ensure adherence to updated food safety regulations and industry best practices, keeping the organization compliant at all times.
  • Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to inspections, audits, training, and compliance activities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Safety, Microbiology, or a related field. A master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Certification in food safety and hygiene (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe or equivalent) is required.
  • Proven experience in food safety, hygiene, or quality assurance within the hospitality or food service industry, preferably in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, FDA, USDA or equivalent local authority standards).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to train, guide, and influence team members at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks and implement effective corrective actions.
  • High attention to detail and a strong commitment to maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards.
