The impact you'll make:
Grow and scale leadership offerings
- Identify and convert opportunities to grow leadership development offerings across public and private sectors.
- Scale and embed the Change Collaborative programme across Health New Zealand regions, services, and professional groups.
- Develop and execute targeted growth strategies with senior leaders, workforce and OD teams, and executive sponsors.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of programmes, bespoke engagements, partnerships, and contracted work.
- Collaborate with OWT colleagues, Partners, and Directors to embed leadership capability into broader transformation engagements.
Build trusted client relationships
- Develop deep, trust‑based relationships with executives and senior leaders across health, public sector, and private sector organisations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leaders transitioning into leadership and leading through change and complexity.
- Engage closely with clinicians, Clinical Directors, Nurse Directors, Allied Health leaders, Colleges, and workforce leads.
- Represent Deloitte’s leadership practice at sector forums, leadership events, and client engagements.
Design and deliver high‑impact programmes
- Translate leadership challenges into tailored solutions, enhanced programmes, and new offerings.
- Design and deliver leadership development programmes and workshops across sectors.
- Facilitate learning experiences supporting system leadership and leadership through complexity and change.
- Contextualise content to organisational strategy, sector realities, equity considerations, workforce priorities, and Health NZ outcomes where relevant.
- Integrate contemporary thinking on AI, digital leadership, and the future of work into programme design and delivery.
Strengthen value, partnerships, and sustainability
- Clearly articulate programme impact and relevance, particularly for clinicians transitioning into leadership roles.
- Develop compelling collateral, case studies, and ROI narratives with marketing and design teams.
- Lead partnership discussions with Health NZ, tertiary institutions, professional bodies, and other partners.
- Support pricing strategies, proposals, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure all partnerships align with Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations and equity principles.
Your expertise:
- 7–10 years’ experience at Manager level, preferably within health, workforce, or business development roles related to the wider health system. Strong networks and credibility within clinical communities (e.g. senior nurses, medical specialists, allied health professionals). Demonstrated ability to translate clinical workforce needs into tailored leadership development solutions.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in areas related to people, leadership, workforce, or business is desirable.
- Strong understanding of the wider health sector, including experience working in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments, and knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application in health leadership.
- Proven commercial acumen, including experience in business development, partnership management, proposal writing, and contract negotiation.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex programmes, and deliver outcomes across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at all levels — from frontline clinicians to executive leaders.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence, enabling you to build trust, anticipate needs, and deliver tailored solutions that drive long‑term partnerships.
- Strong capability to analyse complex information, identify trends, and develop strategic, practical solutions.
- Demonstrated experience or strong curiosity in how AI and emerging technologies are reshaping leadership, learning, and organisational effectiveness, with the ability to incorporate AI‑related leadership considerations into programme design and senior client conversations.
