Who You Are:
You’re an experienced veterinary professional who takes pride in your work and enjoys being part of a close-knit team. You communicate clearly, show up reliably, and care deeply about both patients and the people who love them. The Veterinary Surgery Technician is responsible for supporting veterinarians in all aspects of surgical procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Previous experience as a surgery technician.
Reliable transportation and strong attendance (timely/early to shifts)
Availability to work rotating Saturdays (8:45am–1:00pm), not in surgery
Excellent client communication and interpersonal skills
Strong knowledge of anesthesia protocols, monitoring equipment, and surgical procedures
A positive, team-oriented mindset
Compassion, professionalism, and a genuine love for animals
Dental experience (including radiographs)
Commitment to patient safety and high standards of care
Preferred (but not required):
Veterinary Technician certification (CVT, RVT, or LVT), or eligibility for licensure
Degree from an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology program
What You’ll Do:
As a valued member of our medical team, you will:
Collaborate closely with veterinarians and support staff during exams, treatments, and procedures
Safely handle and care for patients, including administering medications and vaccines
Collect and process laboratory samples and maintain accurate medical records
Monitor patients and advocate for their comfort and well-being
Educate clients with clear, compassionate communication about their pet’s care
Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient surgery suite and hospital environment
Contribute to a respectful, supportive workplace culture grounded in teamwork and trust
