Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative and operational activities of the Corporate Governance team.
This role is ideal for someone early in their legal or corporate services career who is looking to gain exposure to entity management, legal documentation, board administration, and corporate governance processes within a global financial services environment.
The successful candidate will support governance-related documentation, maintain corporate records, coordinate internal requests, and assist with ongoing legal administrative tasks across multiple jurisdictions.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with corporate administrative activities, including incorporations, corporate updates, and entity maintenance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain legal and corporate documentation, including resolutions, registers, annual returns, and governance records.
- Update and monitor entity records and documentation within internal systems such as QCore.
- Support the preparation and distribution of board packs, meeting materials, and corporate documents.
- Assist with drafting meeting minutes, resolutions, and routine governance documentation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders regarding governance-related documentation and administrative requests.
- Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems for corporate records and legal documentation.
- Track document submissions, renewal timelines, and governance-related action items.
- Support process improvement and administrative efficiency initiatives within the Corporate Governance function.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a legal assistant, paralegal, corporate administration, or similar support role is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Comfortable handling documentation, data entry, and administrative coordination tasks.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior exposure to corporate governance, legal administration, or company secretarial work is advantageous but not required.
