The Opportunity

We are excited to welcome a dedicated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Contract Management Accountant, supporting the Head of Finance (UK) for a short contract period. This role offers an excellent opportunity to inject your expertise into our finance department, where you'll play a key part in maintaining seamless month-end procedures, delivering accurate and timely reporting (including board reports), driving regular forecasting, and supporting the annual budgeting process. What you’ll be doing

  • Forecast Ownership: Take the lead on Apadmi UK’s monthly forecast process – working closely with our Head of Finance to explore new scenarios and sharpen our financial modelling.

  • Variance Analysis: Compare Actuals vs Forecasts and uncover what’s driving the difference. You’ll turn those insights into clear, concise updates that help keep our business on track.

  • Balance Sheet Support: Work hand-in-hand with our Group Financial Accountant on the consolidated Balance Sheet, keeping things tight.

  • Board Reporting: Own the production of the Apadmi UK Monthly Board Report – delivering the financial highlights to influence key conversations.

  • Audit & Systems Support: When audit season rolls around, you’ll be right in the mix, helping the Group Financial Accountant keep everything moving smoothly.

  • ERP Transition: We’re rolling out a shiny new ERP system – you’ll be an important part of this transition, helping shape how finance tech works for us during your contract.

  • Consolidation: Assist in preparing consolidated Group Management Accounts and Board Reports for stakeholders inside and outside the business.

  • Process Improvement: Help us find better, smarter, and more efficient ways of doing things during your time with us.

  • Ad-Hoc Support: Support the Head of Finance and wider teams with ad-hoc tasks that keep the business running smoothly – no two days are the same!

What you'll bring to the team

  • Qualifications: A qualified (or close to qualified) accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with hands-on management accounts experience, ideally available at short notice.

  • Communication: A clear and confident communicator, able to build rapid relationships and share insights across all levels of the business.

  • Adaptability: Someone who thrives in the pace and energy of a growing organisation and can hit the ground running.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with a love for problem-solving and storytelling through numbers.

  • Autonomy: Highly organised and proactive, with the proven ability to self-manage your time, workload, and deliverables as a contractor.

  • Integrity: An empathetic teammate, able to see things from others’ perspectives and always handle sensitive financial information with total integrity.
