About the role
PA Consulting Group has an immediate opening for a Business Support Specialist based out of our Denver office. The individual in this role will provide administrative coordination support to PA’s Energy & Utilities EAU) Sector team. This role will suit someone who is highly organized, demonstrates critical thinking skills, proactive, demonstrates strong communication skills and able to demonstrate a high level of commitment to providing quality service, producing high quality outputs and meeting tight deadlines. Someone who is strong in stakeholder management, happy to get involved on different projects/tasks and work collaboratively with teams, with a customer-centric mentality.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Business Support Specialist is to support the EAU team with proposal delivery, RFP Bid support, track record compilation, EAU brand deck support, internal job setup requirements, and daily news summaries.
This would involve:
- Compiling and disseminating energy related news: The individual will act as a delivery specialist that provides daily energy industry related news summaries through the provision of reviewing secondary sources and subscribed databases. This will include compiling and disseminating energy market industry news on a daily basis as well as fulfilling article requests.
- Business development coordinator: The individual will assist the team with proposal, RFQ (Request for Qualifications) and RFP (Request for Proposals) related support. Manage vendor registrations and review procurement sites for opportunities and distribute to the team. Manage bid submittal support (completing forms and internal PA requirements) as well as adhering to client specific bid requirements.
- Job Opening Support and Document Management: The individual will ensure that all client documents are filed in accordance to our internal procedures. As well as assist the team by compiling the documents necessary to meet SOX requirements in order for Finance to set up client projects. This includes completing the financial bid models so that they mirror the proposal documents, completing the Microsoft Dynamics (CRM) process flows and ensuring all internal processes are followed for SOX compliance.
- EAU Track record support and management: This individual will support these efforts by working with project delivery teams to document project outcomes and successes that are to be included in our qualifications databases and brand assets.
- Deliverable Support: Production of high-quality proposals, ensuring thorough review and compliance with PA document standards.
- Knowledge sharing and best practices: The individual would be responsible for developing and maintaining best practice processes, knowledge management systems and databases already in place.
- Project Management: Once onboarded, the individual is expected to carry out work with minimal guidance and oversight.
- Teamwork: The individual would be resourceful in creating own network of colleagues in E&U and throughout PA to ensure delivery of quality outputs. The individual will also work closely within the business support team and will be open to any additional ways to support the business and add value. Providing cover for team members during leave or sickness absence.
- Ad hoc support: The individual will work as part of a larger team to deliver ad hoc assignments on an as-needed basis. The individual will act as an administrative point of contact for staff in the E&U team and Denver office and provide support to the business in any other additional areas required.

- Should possess good presentation skills to present the research findings/output in a professional manner.
- Should be able to think logically in order to:
- Effectively assess each request requirement from internal clients
- To draw clear and concise conclusions from the work to be presented to various executive leaders across the client teams.
- Should possess sound knowledge of tools and techniques on how market research should be conducted
- Ability to interact with employees at all levels as well as with external clients/customers in a professional manner
- Energetic and motivated, confident and assertive when necessary
- Displays initiative and motivation in seeking and taking greater responsibility
- Demonstrate an understanding of the energy (including power) industry is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree and/or at least two years of relevant experience
- Strong working knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook)
- Displays a willingness to support the internal Business Support team as needed.

In compliance with Colorado’s, New York & Massachusetts's Equal Pay Transparency Act, PA is required to provide a reasonable salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the State of Colorado and is commensurate with experience, market data, applicant skills, internal equity and/or degrees/certifications.
Salary Range: $77,900 to $82,000k
