Maintenance Electrician - York Based (must live local)

As a Maintenance Electrician , you will be responsible for the safe, compliant, and reliable operation of electrical assets across a manufacturing site. The role covers reactive breakdown response, planned and preventative asset‑care maintenance, and electrical installation, inspection, testing, and modernisation activities.

You will carry out effective electrical fault‑finding to restore equipment promptly during breakdowns, while supporting long‑term asset reliability through planned maintenance, statutory compliance, and continuous improvement activities.

Role Details: Hourly Rate: £23.62 per hour (£16.56 + bonus and shift allowances) Typical Annual Earnings: £47,901.36 (based on 39 hours per week) Overtime: Additional overtime rates available Role based: Portakabin Ltd, New Lane, Huntington, York, YO32 9PT Contract type: Permanent Working hours: The role involves a 39-hour working week, rotating weekly between AM and PM shifts:

• AM Shift: Monday to Thursday: 05:45 – 14:00 Friday: 05:45 – 12:45
• PM Shift: Monday to Thursday: 13:45 – 23:45
