Associate Credit Representative Job Description
Responsibilities may include the following, and other duties may be assigned.
Serves as the first point of contact for customers and internal partners for Credit & Financial Services (CFS) inquiries, providing timely and professional support via phone and email.
Assists customers with account-related requests, including providing copies of invoices and statements, explaining account balances, payment status, and due dates.
Processes payments for open invoices using approved payment methods, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
Communicates account status, credit holds, and release requirements clearly and professionally, helping customers understand the steps needed to maintain their accounts in good standing.
Documents all customer interactions, payment commitments, and dispute details in the appropriate systems to ensure accurate account history and visibility.
Routes complex credit issues, disputes, and high-risk situations to the appropriate Credit Representative or Sr. Credit Representative for resolution.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other internal teams to resolve customer inquiries and support timely order processing.
Supports continuous improvement by identifying recurring customer issues and recommending opportunities to enhance processes, customer experience, and response times.
Maintains a high level of customer service while balancing company credit policies and collection objectives.
SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A), 0 years of experience required.
