Junior Water&Wastewater Designer (for projects in Norway)

Our Water and Environment section at AFRY is growing and is looking for a new Water and Wastewater (WW) design engineer. We work on projects across all planning phases and collaborate with municipal, governmental, and private clients. Our projects range from small development areas to large transport infrastructure projects such as Ring 1 Hammersborg Tunnel, Vaterland Tunnel, and E18 Langangen – Rugtvedt.

The section consists of 13 employees in Oslo. With us, you will find strong opportunities for development through project work, as well as access to courses, professional groups, and seminars. Your key responsibilities are:

• Design of water and wastewater systems in Novapoint and AutoCAD for private, municipal, and governmental clients in accordance with local WW standards
• Development of project work methodologies
• Close follow-up with our clients, with opportunities for assignment/discipline leadership

Must have:

• Good English language skills
• Relevant Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience with water and wastewater design, with experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Design of pipeline systems (water, wastewater and stormwater)
  • Pumping stations
  • Reservoirs / water storage facilities (e.g. elevated tanks)
  • Drainage systems in transportation / road projects
  • Dimensioning of culverts
• Professional knowledge of water, wastewater, and stormwater, and familiarity with applicable regulations
• Experience with design tools
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD

Good to have:

• Good knowledge of Novapoint
