Summary:
Safely load and unload machinery with proper tooling and products. Perform manual tasks such as package, crate, label, count, and sort products. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision.
Primary Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Required to understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Required to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all guards and safety equipment have been installed and properly checked.
- Required to understand and follow work procedures as set forth by all ISO documentation.
- Required to meet or exceed production standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints whenever required by operation.
- Required to maintain quality standards on all products.
- Select the proper tooling and process set-up as directed by team leader or supervisor.
- Safely load and unload machinery with the proper tooling and product as directed by team leader or supervisor.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
- Maintain good housekeeping practices throughout the department.
- Adhere to ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHAS 18001 certification requirements.
- Responsible to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Requires regular attendance per the schedule assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge and Skill Requirement:
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
- High school diploma or its equivalent, desired.
- Must have a total understanding of the shop packets released to the shop floor.
- A thorough understanding of the hazard communication program.
- Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within manufacturing environment.
Environmental / Atmospheric Conditions:
- Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat in production areas.
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs in a safe manner.
- Must be able to perform repetitive motion. Examples: walking, reaching, bending, twisting, stooping, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods of time.
- Clarity of vision and the ability to focus on a fast and repetitious operation for extended period of time.
- Exposure to machine noise levels (hearing protection required).
- Exposure to heavy equipment or components need to produce product (safety toed shoes required).
- Exposure to electrical and mechanical moving parts.
- Exposure to sparks, chips, and dust (eye protection required).
- Exposure to extreme seasonal temperature conditions.
- Must be capable of maintaining a 40-hour workweek and working overtime as needed.
