PURPOSE

The Purpose of the Colombia Medical Affairs Intern (MAI), under varying levels of guidance and direction, is to provide technical support for a variety of medical and administrative tasks performed by the Medical Affairs local personnel. The MAI is expected to be knowledgeable about policies and procedures related to the creation and documentation of documents that they support. It is desirable to have basic/intermediate literature searches competencies. The MAI will support the Medical Affairs local personnel in filing and maintaining folders and final copies of documentation for medical events.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Category of Responsibility Under the supervision and full responsibility of each therapeutic area Colombia Medical Advisor/CRP, support in the administrative tasks, including but not limited to: a. Document Preparation and Management i. Filling out expenses report platform ii. Documentation of all medical activities (events, specific procedures-such as compassionate use, speaker training-) b. Logistic assistance i. Preparation and execution of medical events ii. Update of specific platforms for medical owned activities (TLMap-CET-METIS) c. Technical assistance i. Assist in formatting slide kits (references, copyrights, content) acting as the first filter. Medical Advisors/CRPs will hold full responsibility for the final slide kit content and approval. ii. Give support in visual aid review and searches of medical evidence acting as the first filter. Medical Advisors/CRPs hold full responsibility for the final visual aid scientific content and approval. iii. Securing of copyright permission for all publications used as reference materials for slide kits, and proper edition of materials if needed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Medical (preferable) or Life Sciences Student

  • Computer Expertise.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Able to create presentation-quality materials, guided by or using information provided by Medical Affairs Local Personnel.
  • High-level end-user computer skills (i.e., word processing, tables, graphics spreadsheets, presentations, and templates)
  • B1 Level English.
  • Independent and Proactive Work: Take ownership to meet the project timelines. Ability to work independently, with minimum supervision. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and organizational skills.
