Come join our international Fraud & Investigations team as our new Fraud Investigator and help us enhance online trust and protect consumers and businesses worldwide.
As our Fraud Investigator, you will work closely with our Legal, Communications and Content Integrity teams to ensure Trustpilot’s ongoing trustworthiness and the reliability of our platform. You will combine your investigation skills with curiosity and the willingness to lift every “stone” to identify misuse. The Fraud Investigator is responsible for safeguarding Trustpilot’s brand by preventing, detecting and combating fraudulent behavior.
In your role, you will:
- Perform fraud investigations and translate findings & evidence into factual and informative reports for stakeholders.
- Prevent and combat attempted fraudulent behavior on Trustpilot’s platform.
- Localize and act on bad actors that attempt to facilitate fraud and misuse, such as review sellers.
- Collect online intelligence on fraud trends and convert it into actionable items.
- Act as a go-to person for other departments including management when there is evidence of fraudulent behavior of users or companies.
- Cooperate with departments across Trustpilot by sharing expertise necessary for building fraud detection tools and technologies that help us to scale better and work more efficiently.
- Escalate and support where misuse & fraud patterns are identified.
- Assist the Fraud & Investigations team with the development, identifying, creation and maintenance of policies and procedures for investigation operations.
- Be part of the Fraud & Investigations team’s efforts to continuously improve our internal investigations processes.
We are looking for people with:
- 2+ years experience in conducting investigations combined with a great understanding of identifying patterns and outliers that assist in combating misuse.
- Developed critical thinking combined with interpretative skills to gather and translate evidence into factual and informative reports.
- A proactive and problem solving approach combined with strong business acumen.
- Have a strong sense of urgency with a keen eye for detail and efficiency, while taking pride in handling every case.
- Able to work both independently and in a team being enthusiastic and self starter.
- Able to understand complex problems and identify possible solutions.
- Excellent English communication skills and the ability to understand the nuances of communication with businesses and consumers.
