Overview
The Activities Assistant will assist in the coordinating, supervising and implementing of the activities in the Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing units. This is a part time position with a schedule that includes some evenings and weekends. Additional hours may be available as needed.
Shift: Part-Time
Responsibilities
- Implementing a broad activity program to meet resident needs.
- planning, directing and carrying out a program which covers recreation and educational development
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma is required
- Experience: One to two years’ activities assisting is preferred
- Must possess a caring, compassionate, energetic personality and a desire to provide entertaining and stimulating activities to enhance the quality of life and holistic growth of residents
- Must be detail oriented and have excellent literacy and writing, documentation, communications and interpersonal abilities
- Must be willing to drive bus for resident outings
