How you'll make an impact
Demand Planners manage the demand information flows to produce the bottoms up forecast, by-sku by-month, for a category, multiple brands or a large brand.
The Demand Planner develops statistical forecasts and integrates numerous elements of business data and market intelligence shared by internal category teams and the Market Forecast planners.
Market intelligence includes initiatives, distribution, pricing, and promotional activities. The forecast is used by supply chain, finance, and business leadership and as such, it is a critical job with significant commercial and business implications.
Inventory Planners optimizes stock levels by using the forecasted demand as a base to manage replenishment while minimizing excess inventory and preventing obsolescence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prioritize key master data items to support current and future business plans. Maintain master data directly in the system (when applicable).
Evaluate historical shipment patterns, use experience and statistical knowledge to implement optimal models to represent (1) the best future forecast pattern, and (2) the most efficient forecast method to deliver best accuracy per effort invested.
Review statistical forecasts periodically and implement updates to deliver best ongoing modeling as business evolves over time.
Make forecast modifications in the system, in collaboration with the Market/Sales counterparts. Maintain the system volumes in line with assumptions (Finance Reviews).
Understand market dynamics and latest marketing and supply plans (promotions, cannibalization, distribution changes, supply constraints, etc) and make value-added inputs.
Represent Supply Chain in Commercial/category meetings and further enable category level accuracy results.
Collaborate with local and global Supply Chain contacts – communicate significant forecast changes and what-if projections in line with operating strategy; review latest supply situation; and manage resulting forecast updates.
Examples in this area include managing cases of reduced product availability, initiative pipeline development, and significant merchandising timing moves.
What you'll need
Solid experience in Supply Chain or related field
Degree in Logistics, Business, Marketing, or related
B2 English level required
Spanish desired
Knowledge in tools such as: Microsoft Office, ERP, Blue Younder desired
