You Are:
The Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing network infrastructure to ensure reliability, performance, and security across the program. This role collaborates closely with IT teams and stakeholders to develop network policies, troubleshoot issues, and maintain compliance with client IT standards and best practices. The position requires strong technical expertise, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a commitment to delivering secure, high‑performing network solutions.
The Work:
- Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure to meet program requirements.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, scalability, and security of network environments.
- Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to develop, maintain, and enforce network policies and standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues using industry‑standard tools and methodologies.
- Configure and manage network hardware and software, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Conduct network assessments and recommend improvements to architecture and performance.
- Support automated network configuration, monitoring, and operational workflows.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and network procedures.
- Apply network engineering and data security best practices across all solutions.
- Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving security requirements.
- Manage multiple workstreams simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail.
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field, or 4 years equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in network engineering or a closely related role.
- Strong understanding of network engineering principles, architectures, and protocols.
- Hands‑on experience with network equipment from vendors such as Cisco or Juniper.
- Proficiency with network configuration and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark).
- Experience with SDN architectures, automated configurations, and network assessments.
Bonus points if you have:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or similar industry credentials.
- Experience with network automation, orchestration, and performance monitoring platforms.
- Ability to produce clear, accurate technical documentation.
Security Clearance:
- Must be a US citizen (No Dual Citizenship)
- Must have an active Secret security clearance
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
