Job description

At Compass, our mission is to help everyone find their place in the world. Founded in 2012, we’re revolutionizing the real estate industry with our end-to-end platform that empowers residential real estate agents to deliver exceptional service to seller and buyer clients.

We are seeking a Program Manager to serve as a critical partner to the Product SPOA for M&A Integration. This role will act as the connective tissue between the Product team and the many stakeholder teams we collaborate with to make each M&A integration successful. You will be responsible for leading the human side of technology change, ensuring the successful integration of acquired entities into the Compass platform, and driving alignment and execution of our M&A rollout roadmap across product, engineering, and business teams.

We are looking for a relentless problem-solver who dives feet-first into ambiguity to bring clarity and drive progress. The ideal candidate thrives on creating and executing a well-defined playbook, but knows that flexibility and creative problem-solving are essential, because every integration is different. Your ability to navigate intricate platform configuration challenges will be essential, inspiring confidence and ensuring steady progress. Success in this role is built on a foundation of exceptional soft skills and outstanding communication, allowing you to foster collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholders.

At Compass, our mission is to help everyone find their place in the world. This means we continually celebrate the diverse community different individuals cultivate. As an equal opportunity employer, we stay true to our mission by ensuring that our place can be anyone’s place.

Responsibilities

  • Support the M&A integration Product SPOA in executing the product roadmap, from discovery and requirements gathering to go-live and post-launch success monitoring, with the goal of eventually leading single-market launches independently.
  • Assist in defining the scope, timeline, and success metrics for each M&A integration, taking ownership of creating and maintaining detailed workback schedules.
  • Create and manage product-related documentation, including regional Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), and ensure stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Partner on the orchestration of all product-related pre-launch readiness activities, from final testing and stakeholder demos to go/no-go checklists, ensuring all teams are prepared and aligned for a smooth and successful rollout. Eventually, lead this process for single-market integrations.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing (PMM) to develop and deliver training materials and demos that support the launch of newly integrated entities
  • Coordination of cross-workstream User Acceptance Testing (UAT) process for each integration, consolidating feedback, and ensuring all critical issues are triaged and communicated to the relevant stakeholders ahead of launch. You will partner closely with the Engineering SPOA and TPM on the execution of regression test protocol and population of each integration's test plan.
  • Contribute to the ongoing standardization and continuous improvement of our M&A integration playbook.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for product-related aspects of M&A integration, providing regular updates to stakeholders and helping to facilitate communication across teams.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional understanding and deep subject matter expertise of the existing Compass Platform
  • Proven experience in a program management, product management, or similar role, preferably with experience in M&A integration.
  • A detail-oriented platform thinker who can translate business objectives into a detailed, actionable plan.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align teams across the organization.
  • A self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity and can thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience working closely with engineering teams.
