What’s the role? The (IP/ Network Engineer) SID IP/Connectivity Engineer supports the revision, implementation, and delivery process for projects involving connectivity and/or IP services. They ensure the successful completion of all projects meeting Liberty Caribbean’s quality standards and customer satisfaction. What You'll Do The SID IP/Connectivity Engineer is responsible for the implementation of projects regarding the customer's managed or unmanaged IP/Connectivity services, which shall include but not be limited to the following: Assist with the installation and configuration of customer Connectivity and IP services, which include MPLS E-LINE/Virtual Private Wire Service (VPWS) MPLS E-LAN/Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS) MPLS L3VPN MPLS L2VPN DIA METRO-E Managed WiFi Managed WAN Managed LAN Perform all test protocols needed to ensure the operability and customer satisfaction of all connectivity or IP projects. Provide support in the integration of all new devices and services into the customer network. Ensure all services in the solutions comply with the customer’s expectations. Provide up-to-date documentation of all projects, which include topologies, low-level designs, and test results, among others. Participate and provide support in maintenance windows scheduled for customer traffic migration to their new services. Provide customer care services by conducting fault isolation identification and resolution of problems during the implementation and testing phase of every service. Provide knowledge transfer to internal stakeholders, external stakeholders, and/or customers. Participate in the hand-off process of connectivity projects to the CWC Customer Service Center. Develop internal procedures and guidelines in order to standardize implementations. Assist our Project Management Office in the execution phase of all IP and/or Connectivity projects. Assist our presales department in the review of designs upon request. Participate in internal and customer kickoff meetings for B2B SID projects. Provide reviews for all service orders and service requests related to connectivity and/or IP projects implemented and supported by Liberty Caribbean. Knowledge & Experience Possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or any related equivalent academic field associated with Service Provider Networking. Minimum of five years of experience related to service provider or enterprise operations, implementation, or network engineering. Strong knowledge of routing and switching of Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, and Juniper products is a plus. Strong knowledge in command line (CLI) for enterprise-level Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, and Juniper hardware. Excellent knowledge of MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching), BGP (Border Gateway Protocol), OSPF (Open Shortest Path First), and static routing. Knowledge in Layer 2 protocols such as VLANs, STP, and REP. Knowledge in high availability protocols such as VRRP/LACP. Knowledge of FortiGate, FortiSwitch and FortiAP configuration is desirable Knowledge of Fortinet or Versa SDWAN deployments is a plus Strong customer service skills, with the ability to work and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong abilities for teamwork and working to meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Possess CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) or JNCIA (Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate). CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or JNCIP (Juniper Networks Certified Internet Professional) are a plus.
