What We Offer Novant Health Pediatrics SouthPark is seeking a full-time Licensed Practical Nurse! Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, Saturday 8:00am-12:00pm - one Saturday shift each month To coordinate and assist the provider to ensure safe quality/cost effective service and care for the people within the practice population. What You'll Do Job responsibilities include: Room patients and prepare exam rooms for clinical visits. Obtain and record vital signs accurately. Perform venipuncture and draw blood samples as ordered. Process and run laboratory tests according to established protocols. What We're Looking For Education : High School or GED, required. Candidates will provide proof of current certification from one of the approved certifying registries including: • CMA with the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) • CCMA with the National Health Career Association (NHA) • RMA with the American Medical Technologists (AMT) • American Registry of Medical Assistants (NHCWA) • National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) • National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) • American Allied Health (AAH) RMA with the American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA). If a candidate is not currently certified, they must obtain certification or registration by the end of the sixth month of their hire and sign an education agreement. Experience : Previous work in a medical office, preferred. Licensure/Certification : Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required Refer to Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 Current State Drivers License (Palliative Care Only), required Additional Skills/Requirements (required) : Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
