We’re seeking an experienced Education Coordinator to join our dynamic Nurse Practitioner (NP) Team . In this impactful role, you’ll collaborate closely with NP Leaders, the Project Coordinator, Operational and Medical Leaders, academic partners, and other key stakeholders involved in continuing medical education. What You’ll Do Conduct learning needs assessments to identify educational priorities Design and deliver training using both traditional and innovative instructional approaches to support NP professional development Coordinate orientation for new employees and manage mandatory education programs Maintain a learning management system tailored to Nurse Practitioner learning needs Analyze learning and development data and prepare outcome reports Partner with post‑secondary institutions to coordinate clinical learning experiences Support clinical fellowships and residencies for new graduate NPs Facilitate access to clinical IT systems for learners Create communication and promotional materials using industry‑standard design tools Plan and administer educational events including conferences and project‑related sessions Manage contracts, budgets, and summaries related to educational activities What You Bring We’re looking for a coordinator who can standardize, organize, and maintain a robust pool of educational resources to meet the evolving learning needs of Fraser Health Nurse Practitioners. Your strengths in curriculum development , program delivery , evaluation techniques , and information management will be essential to your success. This is a hybrid work model based out of our corporate office located in Central City in Surrey. Known as the City of Parks, Surrey has over 6,000 acres of parkland and 15 golf courses and driving ranges. Also, despite rapid growth, Surrey has held onto the rural flavour of its past, with about 35 per cent of its land designated as agricultural and still actively farmed. Detailed Overview Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families: The Education Coordinator develops, recommends and coordinates the education programs and curriculum for clinical learning courses related to Nurse Practitioners across Fraser Health. Maintains a pool of resources that meet the learning and development needs of the profession, assesses learning needs, evaluates learning outcomes and supports education programs/initiatives that enhance Nurse Practitioners' professional development. Develops communications and various promotional materials, maintains related websites and contents, establishes and maintains an effective learning management system, and coordinates and administers event planning of conferences and various education events. Responsibilities Develops, recommends and coordinates the education and training programs and curriculum for clinical learning courses, including those related to scholarship, clinical fellowship and residency programs. Develops and facilitates learning needs assessments; analyzes needs, identifies gaps and areas of greatest need, and creates opportunities for staff to pursue ongoing training. Assists with matching learners to available programs and monitors successful completion of education and training programs/courses. Assists with the evaluation of education courses/programs and the effectiveness of learning outcomes. Develops and submits recommendations for improvements. Using traditional and progressive training practices, supports education programs/initiatives that will enhance Nurse Practitioners' professional development. Coordinates new employee orientation and mandatory education programs related to Nurse Practitioners. Liaises and collaborates with internal and external partners to support the development, evaluation and enhancement of education programs; works with post-secondary institutions to coordinate clinical learning experiences and works with Nurse Practitioner leadership in other health authorities to exchange program design and related information. Drafts and develops communications and promotional and other educational materials using industry standard software and design/communication principles. Establishes and maintains a learning management system for the Nurse Practitioner education programs that allow for effective access to information and tracking of attendance/completion. Facilitates access to information technology systems for learners. Compiles learning and development data, analyzes outcomes and prepares related reports. Establishes and maintains related websites and content related to Fraser Health Nurse Practitioners. Coordinates and administers event planning of conferences and various education events. Monitors education and training budgets as required; provides contract, budget and summary information related to educational activities and events. Researches and evaluates education awareness and maintains related databases/records of staff education and courses available to Nurse Practitioners. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in Adult Education, Communications or health related discipline supplemented with further certification in adult education, three (3) years recent, related experience in a complex health care setting, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring and Courageous and creates the conditions for people to succeed. Professional/Technical Capabilities: Proficiency in preparing adult training and education curriculum. Knowledge of training methods, course development, and training delivery. Ability to assess learning needs and evaluate learning outcomes. Ability to operate a variety of word processing and design software, and event planning and learning management systems.
