Engineering | College AdministrationThe Program Assistant-in-Residence is a short-term, grant-funded position housed within the College of Engineering’s Community, Access, Retention, and Empowerment (CARE) Office. This unique residency is designed for a licensed K–12 educator or a degree-holding professional in engineering, architecture, or planning who is passionate about student success, early access in education, and community impact.
The program assistant will support CARE Office initiatives across one or more of its core areas: community engagement, student academic success, and undergraduate recruitment. The role offers a dynamic opportunity to apply professional expertise in a higher education setting, contribute to innovative programming, and mentor undergraduate students in the College of Engineering (COE) and the Knowlton School of Architecture (KSA).

Hiring Range: $19.28 - $25.19
The actual pay rate paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or planning may be preferred. 0 years of relevant experience required. Licensed K–12 educator with the ability to design an experiential hands-on project or K-12 curriculum. Demonstrated commitment to educational access, student success, and community engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, team-oriented environment.
Desired:
0-2 years of experience preferred. Experience working with college students or in a higher education setting. Familiarity with high-impact practices, mentoring, or outreach programming. Project management or educational instruction experience.
