About the Role:

The Team:

Our International Contracts team provides customers with the most comprehensive and reliable information relating to E&P, CCUS, Hydrogen and Helium contract data in the energy sector. We foster a collaborative and supportive atmosphere, focusing on helping one another ensure that high-quality information is delivered to customers promptly while valuing the sharing of technical expertise. The team is committed to producing exceptional work through a culture that emphasizes both individual excellence and collective success in supporting critical energy industry intelligence.

Responsibilities and Impact:

  • Research, analyze, and ensure quality and accuracy of Exploration and Production contract data before database entry, demonstrating attention to detail and initiative in identifying potential issues.
  • Partner with the Northeast Asia Upstream Intelligence regional teams on E&P industry information focussing on the gathering, business intelligence, and quality of E&P contracts and blocks.
  • Utilize GIS tools to create and update spatial data ensuring high quality information is available.
  • Enhance and maintain E&P Contracts database through timely data entry, error correction, and proactive quality control measures.
  • Perform special data quality projects as designated by the Contracts Module Director or the Regional Upstream Intelligence team that support team goals and organizational objectives.
  • Actively contribute to quality control of the team’s products and resolve data inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data inconsistencies and ensure reliable information delivery to customers.

What We’re Looking For:

  • University degree in Geology, Geoscience or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • Knowledge of the petroleum industry, upstream operations, or energy sector regulations is a plus.
  • Excellent IT skills (Including prompting), particularly in GIS tools and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills with attention to detail for data quality assurance.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple country portfolios simultaneously.
  • Curiosity, enthusiasm, patient and good decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work with rigid deadlines under direct supervision as well as autonomously, setting priorities.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with new technologies and data acquisition tools.
  • Experience in GIS technologies and spatial data management tools.
  • Enthusiasm for continuous learning.
  • Interest in developing skills with programming languages (such as Python), database technologies (like SQL), and business intelligence platforms (such as Power BI or Tableau) for data analysis.
