Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.DePuy Synthes is recruiting for an Executive Assistant located in Spain.
The Experienced Executive Assistant provides high-level executive support to the General Manager and Leadership Team, ensuring effective Leadership Team governance, coordination of management forums, and adherence to corporate and local governance processes.
In addition, the role supports internal and external communications for the General Manager and Leadership Team, helping ensure clear, consistent, and timely messaging aligned with business priorities and governance requirements. The position acts as a trusted partner, operating with a high degree of discretion, autonomy, and professionalism in a highly confidential and regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high-level executive support to the General Manager, managing agendas, priorities, meetings, and communications.
Coordinate Leadership Team meetings, management committees, and governance forums, including agendas, materials, minutes, and follow-up actions.
Support corporate and management governance processes of the local legal entity, including documentation, compliance tracking, and coordination with internal functions.
Act as a central coordination point between the General Manager, Leadership Team members, internal stakeholders, and external partners.
Support internal communications on behalf of the General Manager and Leadership Team, including preparation, coordination, and distribution of key messages, updates, and materials.
Support external communications as required, including coordination of messaging with external stakeholders, advisors, or partners, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines.
Ensure effective information flow and timely follow-up on decisions and action items arising from leadership and governance meetings.
Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
Anticipate executive needs and proactively support planning, coordination, and problem-solving activities.
Required Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience (10 years+) as an Executive Assistant supporting executives, leadership teams and/or local boards preferably within multinational or regulated environments.
Demonstrated experience working within corporate, legal, or management governance frameworks.
Experience supporting internal and external executive communications is a strong advantage.
Strong organizational, coordination, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of professionalism, confidentiality, integrity, and attention to detail.
Ability to anticipate needs and operate with a high degree of independence and sound judgment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High proficiency in standard business and collaboration tools.
Fluency in Spanish and English.
