Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector is seeking a Quality Analyst/Principal Quality Analyst – Level 2 or Level 3 to join our team in Clearfield, UT. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.

Quality Analyst will work in an industrial environment and support solving complex problems related to MRB/Nonconformance data analytics.  Will effectively interact with Quality Engineering, Process Engineering, and Operations teams to provide support within the value stream to pull and analyze data, run data review and action meetings, build monthly review packages, lead multi-organizational improvement projects based upon quality metrics.

This position will work a 9/80 schedule, with every other Friday off.

In this job, you will:

  • Interact with internal, external, and government customers to provide quality metrics data.

  • Work directly with value stream organizations to ensure that inspections, process control, and audits are conducted on a continuing basis to improve processing.

  • Report On-site 1-2 times weekly at the Salt Lake facility

  • Work Infrequent on-call duty – 1-2 hour off-shift support to lead training related to projects above; approximately once a quarter.

  • Must be able to work in manufacturing environment, including accessing ladders, stairs, and work platforms.

  • Other duties as assigned

This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company.

This position can be filled at either a Level 2 or Level 3.

Basic Qualifications for Level 2:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional/related experience – OR – Master’s degree with 0 years of professional/related experience.  Will consider an additional 4+ years of related experience in lieu of degree.

  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance

  • Quality Assurance experience with AS9100/IS9001

  • Quality Management Systems (QMS) operating practices and signature authority

  • Project leadership, Customer Coordination, Nonconformance data analytics, Statistics, Investigation leadership

  • Electronic manufacturing plan and Inspection Plan structure and authoring

  • Familiarity inspection accuracy analysis, Inspection Points (IP), and nonconformance process including continuing processing, disposition, and investigation

  • Familiarity with failure investigation and root cause tools

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Must be able to work in manufacturing environment, including accessing ladders, stairs, work platforms, sitting/standing for long period of time.

  • Comfortable traveling On-site 1-2 times weekly at the Salt Lake facility

  • Comfortable working Infrequent on-call duty – 1-2 hour off-shift support to lead training related to projects above; approximately once a quarter.

 Preferred Qualifications:  

  • Preferred major in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) field

  • Power BI/SQL database

  • Project management certification (CAPM or PMP)

  • Statistical Process Control (SPC)

  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ANSI/AMSE Y14.5), and Dimensional Inspection Techniques

  • Mechanical Design, Manufacturing Engineering

  • Tooling/special equipment

  • Understanding or experience of digital inspection techniques using Leica Laser Tracker, Creaform, Romer arm equipment, and CMM machinery

  • Understanding or experience of computer Aided Design and Software - i.e. NX, Verisurf, Polyworks, Cameo

Northrop Grumman Total Rewards 

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00

Secondary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $122,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
