EXPLORE YOUR NEXT ADVENTURE WITH US!
Welcome to Tourlane! We're a tech company on a mission to provide the best experience in travel.
We provide fully personalized, multi-stop trips to 50 destinations around the world and counting. With over 150,000 travellers in the DACH region and France, we're on our way to becoming Europe's leading travel company.
We know that vacation time is precious. Our goal is to help customers discover the world and create lasting memories. We focus on creating tailor-made experiences for our customers because we believe life is too short for standard travel.
We're looking for a Senior FP&A & Controlling Analyst to join our team at a pivotal moment of growth. Reporting to the Head of FP&A & Controlling, you'll be the financial owner of our overhead functions — starting with Tech and Group Functions, with plenty of room to grow into broader scopes as you do.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where you'll partner directly with VPs across the company, design financial frameworks from the ground up, and help modernize how finance operates at Tourlane.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the overhead P&L for Tech and Group Functions — budgeting, variance analysis, and headcount planning.
- Run the intangibles capitalization cycle in close collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Accounting.
- Build the allocation key framework from scratch — design the methodology, defend the logic, and operate it monthly.
- Lead the corporate procurement process — approvals, payments, renewals, and protecting cash flow.
- Sharpen P&L accuracy by partnering with Accounting on accruals and adjustments.
- Build and evolve financial models — workforce models, overhead budgets, and beyond.
- Business partner at VP level across Tech, People, Legal, Office Management and more — challenge plans, surface trade-offs.
- Modernize the function by automating workflows and shaping the tooling roadmap.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or similar.
- 5–6 years in FP&A, Controlling, Audit, or Accounting — ideally in a scale-up. Big 4 alumni with scale-up controlling experience are a great fit.
- Strong controlling and accounting fundamentals (capitalization, accruals, chart-of-accounts).
- Proven ability to build serious financial models.
- Multi-entity / intra-group experience is a plus.
- Comfortable challenging non-finance stakeholders constructively.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets. Looker, Tableau, DATEV, or Pivot are a plus.
- Fluent English; German is a bonus.
IN ADDITION, HERE ARE THE SKILLS WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Rigor & Accounting Fluency: Spots accuracy issues in the P&L; understands what drives the numbers down to the chart-of-accounts level.
- Business Partnering at Head to VP Level: Communicates clearly with Heads across functions; pushes back constructively on budget owners; brings finance into business decisions, not after them.
- Builder Mindset & Process Design: Designs procurement processes, intra-group recharge mechanics and capitalization workflows that hold up as the company grows.
- Ownership & Execution: Delivers monthly cycles consistently: intangibles, overhead variance, recharges.
- Curiosity Across Scopes: Eager to expand from overhead into operational scopes as the function scales, ready to broaden their impact.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Flexible working setup to get the most of your working hours: we offer full flexibility in our Hybrid/Remote model, however we do expect that you take advantage of our lively Berlin office 2 days per week.
- Annual € https://www.ecosia.org/search?q=Euro%20sign&addon=opensearch&addonversion=7.6.0600 self-development budget.
- We share your passion for traveling: enjoy working abroad through our program (5 months per year, inside and outside of EU!
- We support all the diverse communities that make us Tourlane: join or create your own Employee Resource Group (ERG) and connect with Tourlaneans.
- Dog-friendly office: we can't wait to meet your furry friend!
Sounds interesting? We are excited to get to know you!
