Job Description
Stan is Australia’s local leading SVOD provider, home to world class sport and entertainment content and an unrivaled line-up of Australian original productions. The marketing team is responsible for sport and entertainment promotion and creative at every single consumer touchpoint across partner, paid, owned and earned channels, ensuring that our brand and content marketing campaigns are always innovative, disruptive and engaging. In a nutshell, we create demand for our international and local content, strengthen our brand positioning and engagement and ultimately convert demand into acquisition and retention of subscribers.
Reporting to the Head of Sport Marketing, the Sport Marketing Manager is responsible for leading, planning and executing the marketing direction for key sport marketing campaigns. This position will primarily manage the Football go-to-market campaign strategy, implementation and reporting, while also extending to support multiple departments to develop sport initiatives that enhance the wider brand and business outcomes in the lead up and during the competitions. This role has exposure to every facet of marketing and is responsible for leading cross functional collaboration, ensuring cohesion of messaging and creative through the media, publicity, social, performance and creative teams as well as wider business units.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Head of Sport Marketing to coordinate key cross functional teams on the go-to-market strategy/roll-out for major sport events and competitions.
Champion the brand guidelines and IP for all partner governing bodies and entities
Establish a working relationship with key external stakeholders and partners, managing collateral approvals and partner requests
Proactively develop and manage commercial partnerships / initiatives that amplify sport marketing campaign outcomes
Orchestrate all marketing functions - Brand, Creative, PR, Social, CRM, Media - to deliver audience and revenue outcomes for allocated Stan Sport marketing campaigns
Lead all agenda/action items for weekly campaign WIPS and represent sport marketing team at other key meetings
Encourage and build working relationships with peers and senior management across Marketing, Sport, Tech, Product, Marketing, Finance, Insights and key other business units to leverage cross-functional initiatives / manage brand expectations
Manage the GTM brief and roll-out for allocated campaigns. Extracting audience insights, post campaign learnings and driving the strategic direction across all functions.
Manage the production and implementation for allocated sport marketing campaigns, ensuring timely delivery of assets
Coordinate cross functional asset roll-out and ensure broader teams’ alignment on timelines, messaging and brand representation to both increase TTL impact and maximize ROI
Lead daily campaign optimisation and reporting with internal teams and take responsibility for campaign performance
Coordinate the post campaign process for allocated campaigns, ensuring broader marketing team results are captured, and key insights/learnings are formulated/shared
Desirable experience, qualifications & skills
8-10 years media/marketing experience with sport marketing experience a bonus
Self-driven, fast learner able to thrive in a fast paced, ever-changing environment
Proven experience with running functional, engaging, high quality meetings and projects in online, in person, and hybrid formats
Demonstrated strength in marketing competencies with success in content/event marketing and development
Develop and run a regular operating rhythm and communication plan in support of cross-functional GTM decision-making, collaboration and review
Demonstrated leadership in project management and campaign management
Hands on approach to planning, problem solving, and execution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented, teamwork and project management skills a must
Passion for and knowledge of relevant sports a bonus
