We are looking for a compassionate Community Healthcare Assistant to join our West Kent team, providing one-to-one, personalised care to patients in their own homes.
Working night shifts, you will support patients and those close to them with dignity, respect and empathy—helping them remain comfortable in familiar surroundings.
Contract: Permanent, Reduced hours
Schedule: 27 hours per week, distributed over three shifts; Monday to Saturday
Shift hours: 10:00pm – 7:00am
Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale, Band 2 (AFC Aligned) £25,272 per annum (prorated), plus generous night-time enhancements
Location: Community-Based – West Kent
What you will be doing
- Deliver high-quality personal and end-of-life care in the community
- Support patients with daily living needs and comfort
- Build trusting relationships with patients and families
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Travel between patient homes across West Kent
What we are looking for
- Experience in a health or social care setting
- Compassionate, patient-centred approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Basic IT skills
- Full UK driving license and access to a vehicle (essential)
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent)
- Experience in community or palliative care
Additional Information
- Contract: Permanent, Part-time
- Hours: 18 hours per week (night shifts)
- Location: Community-based – West Kent (Maidstone area)
- Salary: £24,465 per annum (pro rata) + night shift enhancements
