Position Title: Store Manager


Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to join our team. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, and leading a team to achieve sales targets.


Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the store's operations including sales, customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision.

  • Ensure the store meets sales goals and profitability targets.

  • Implement strategies to drive sales and increase profitability.

  • Recruit, train, and supervise store staff.

  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment.

  • Monitor inventory levels and order products as needed.

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely manner.

  • Implement company policies and ensure compliance with procedures.

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations for staff members.

  • Develop and implement promotional activities to drive sales.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in stock management and inventory control.

  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to handle various operational tasks.

  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.

  • Experience in recruiting, training, and supervising staff members.

  • Exceptional customer service skills to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Knowledge of budgeting and financial principles.

  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash registers.

  • Familiarity with POS systems for processing sales transactions.

  • Professional phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries effectively.

  • Previous experience in retail sales is preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in store management or related field

  • Proven track record in inventory control and retail sales

  • Strong customer service skills with a focus on enhancing customer experience

  • Demonstrated ability in supervising and leading a team

  • Experience in recruiting and training staff

  • Proficiency in POS systems and administrative tasks

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively

Physical Demands – The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Requires standing approximately 5 – 8 hours per day usually 3 – 5 days per week, including nights and weekends.

  • During peak sale periods (e.g. Holiday, Back-to-School), will work for long periods throughout a 1 – 12 hour day.

  • Requires stooping and kneeling to place merchandise on customer’s feet as well as reaching and pulling to obtain or stock merchandise on storage racks.

  • May be required to climb a ladder or ascend/descend stairs in order to stock and/or acquire merchandise for sale.

  • Required to lift items weighing 5 – 25 lbs regularly. In certain circumstances, weights may be higher.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers and effectively supervise staff.

  • Must be able to see and differentiate colors.

  • Required to work an average of 48 hours per week.
