Job Description Summary
The Installed Base Sustainability Manager is a key member of the PERS Commercial Operations team, responsible for establishing and maintaining a sustainable, accurate, and scalable installed base data foundation across the business. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the ongoing integrity of installed base data, reconcile site- and product-based Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR), and deliver data-driven insights that support informed decision-making across Finance and Senior Leadership.This role is designed to ensure long-term operational ownership of installed base data and related processes, embedding consistency, governance, and continuous improvement into the organization’s commercial operations. The manager will lead the development, adoption, and evolution of sustainable data management practices, while enabling cross-functional teams to operate with greater accuracy, visibility, and alignment.
In this role, the manager will work cross-functionally with Commercial Operations, Sales, Customer Success Management (CSM), Renewals, Product Management, and Services teams. The position also requires close coordination with Billing/Invoicing, Accounts Receivable/Collections, Disputes, Finance, and IT to ensure ongoing data accuracy, process alignment, reporting consistency, and operational effectiveness across the customer lifecycle.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Own and maintain the long-term accuracy, integrity, and sustainability of installed base data across customers, products, and revenue streams.
Continuously investigate account history to identify discrepancies, trends, risks, and relevant business context.
Develop and maintain deep knowledge of pricing structures, product evolution, and historical customer data to support accurate reconciliation and analysis.
Partner with Customer Success, Sales, and Commercial Operations teams to collect, validate, and maintain account-related data and business context.
Translate account-level information into actionable qualitative and quantitative insights for business stakeholders.
Present installed base, customer, and ARR-related insights to Senior Leadership and Finance teams to support strategic and operational decisions.
Monitor and support ongoing product, system, and customer base changes to ensure continued data consistency and alignment.
Serve as the central steward for installed base data, establishing and reinforcing standards for data quality, governance, and maintenance.
Maintain ARR data and ensure timely, accurate inputs into leadership dashboards, reporting tools, and recurring business reviews.
Provide ongoing insights and recommendations related to customer health, product usage, renewals, upsell and cross-sell opportunities, churn risk, and growth potential.
Navigate across systems, data sources, business processes, and cross-functional teams to aggregate information and maintain structured, reliable data assets.
Partner with IT to define, enhance, and sustain the fields, system components, dashboards, and reporting capabilities needed to support business operations.
Support system changes and migration efforts to ensure continuity, integrity, and accessibility of installed base and ARR data.
Develop and maintain sustainable processes, documentation, and working practices that enable long-term data stewardship across the organization.
Train, advise, and support internal stakeholders on installed base data standards, processes, tools, and expectations to promote consistency and accountability.
Provide regular updates to leadership on data health, reconciliation status, sustainability initiatives, system enhancements, and operational priorities.
Assess evolving business needs and recommend ongoing improvements, priorities, timelines, and scalable solutions to strengthen installed base data management.
Maintain accountability for the integrity of business data and historical records across the full customer lifecycle, from onboarding through renewals, upsells, cross-sells, and ongoing account evolution.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Good experience in data-related roles supporting sales support, renewals, client services, billing/invoicing, or similar commercial operations functions
Experience working with customer, product, and/or recurring revenue data
Experience supporting cross-functional teams in data validation, reporting, or operational processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working in CRM and/or ERP systems such as Salesforce and Oracle Fusion
