Senior Legal Counsel – Finland (Temporary Position)

Vivicta is now looking for a qualified in-house lawyer for a temporary full-time position as a replacement for a Senior Legal Counsel in Finland during maternity leave. If you can independently handle a broad range of legal matters in an international business environment, we offer exciting and challenging tasks with good opportunities for professional development during this nine-month assignment.

How we work

You report directly to Vivicta's Head of Commercial Legal and support the operations in Finland and, when needed, the legal department in the Nordics and other countries where Vivicta has operations. Your work will mainly involve reviewing and drafting agreements, participating in internal and external meetings and being responsible for various legal issues in areas such as contract law, company law, public procurement and IT law. You will act as legal advisor both in relation to other internal support functions and within the company's various areas of activity.

Examples of work tasks:

• Ongoing legal support to the various parts of the business regarding customer projects and internal issues.

• Prepare and review agreements, as well as work with template and steering documents for the business.

• Negotiations with customers and suppliers.

• Contact person for external lawyers who are procured for specific projects.

• Participation in and documentation responsibility linked to internal decision-making processes.

• Internal training activities adapted to the needs of the business.

Given the geographical spread of the business and the fact that customer projects are conducted throughout the Nordic region, the service may be associated with travel from time to time.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We believe that you have minimum 5 years experience from equivalent work at a law firm, company, or other relevant organization, and that you are comfortable working independently with a broad range of commercial legal matters. Experience from an international business environment and from supporting business stakeholders in a larger organization is an advantage.

Furthermore, we would like you to have:

  • Knowledge of regulations regarding data protection, personal data processing and IT-related law.
  • Experience in Finnish law, including contract law, public procurement and other relevant areas of commercial law.
  • Very good oral and written proficiency in English and Finnish.
  • Proficiency in Swedish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

You are used to working in projects and in a result-oriented organization. The role means that you have the opportunity to be involved in projects with specialists from different parts of the business, regarding both business-related tasks and internal strategic issues. As a person, you are trustworthy and easy-going, positive and unpretentious in collaboration with colleagues and customers. We will put high value on the right person for this position, being a good match both for the position and as well as in the group will be very important.
