Job description
As a Marketing & PR Coordinator you will support the Marketing/PR function to increase brand awareness through driving customer acquisition, retention and engagement whilst ensuring the consistency of brand messaging. You will work closely with the PR Specialist to design campaigns, coordinate events, and create press releases.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Work with the PR Specialist to execute US and local led PR initiatives.
- Create and maintain the PR calendar to ensure scheduling for new launches, photo shoots, collaborations, influencer campaigns, press events etc are executed within agreed timescales.
- Manage PR projects on a day-to-day basis.
- Conduct research to explore opportunities with Press & Influencers to support business growth in line with expectations.
- Work with PR Specialist and media database Meltwater to build ongoing press lists to work with
- Work with the PR Specialist and agencies to select and build ongoing influencer lists to work with
- Build working relationships with Press, Influencers, Agencies and Charities
- Work closely with PR partnerships and Ambassadors to ensure deliverables are executed by both parties.
- Plan & execute paid and unpaid influencer campaigns, creating briefs and contracts.
- Support the PR Specialist with all media gifting campaigns
- Oversee weekly press pitches to secure organic coverage, and press product call-ins.
- Actively support the Marketing team with organising photo shoots with ambassadors and press.
- Collaborate with PR Specialist to create and implement the social media strategy.
- Create weekly and monthly coverage reports locally and for the US.
- Responsible for entering Skechers into multiple awards categories each year.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- Knowledge of PR and consumer marketing.
- Passion for footwear, fashion, lifestyle and consumer trends, with a strong understanding of the market and target audience.
- Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build strong interpersonal relationships among all cross-functional groups.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritise multiple projects.
- Ability to think creatively and strategically.
- Self-starter with high level of initiative, ownership and a proactive mindset
- Friendly, approachable and adaptable with a can-do attitude and the ability to react quickly in a fast-paced environment
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1 year of experience in a similar position
- Fluent written and verbal communication skills in both French and English
- Proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience using Photoshop would be an advantage.
- This role will involve domestic travel.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends on an ad hoc basis.
