The role
As the Assistant Procurement Manager for Soft Commodities, you will be responsible for fully managing a portfolio of more than €200Mi which includes key items such as Cocoa/Chocolate, Dairy, Sugar and Oils for TMICC Turkey across various brands of Ice-Cream. The position reports directly to the Türkiye & Israel Portfolio Procurement Manager.
What you'll be responsible for
Strategic Sourcing:
- Support in development and execution of portfolio strategy in line with both short term and long-term Business Group objectives.
- Bring the external in: develop market insights to decide who, when and how to buy.
- Support and Management of the RFP/Q process, including RFP/Q preparation, data and participating in the negotiation if appropriate and in-depth analysis of submissions.
- Support innovation projects through strong collaboration with Market Ops Procurement and R&D teams, providing market intelligence, supplier capabilities and capacity.
Supplier & Contract Management:
- Excellent contract life cycle management ensuring 100% coverage of contracts on time in full, including management of purchase price variances.
- Ensure supplier base is 100% compliant with TMICC standards (Specifications, Quality & Responsible Sourcing etc.).
- Identify and mitigate sourcing risks with cross functional team, ensuring high service levels to sourcing units.
- Strengthen portfolio resilience through alternative materials and alternative suppliers.
Value Delivery:
- Create multi-year, cost savings programs funnel for market deployment.
- Work cross-functionally with both local and global counterparts to identify and implement value-project based projects and initiatives.
- Agree and execute best strategies on risk management for the portfolio, together with Procurement / Commodity Risk Management team.
- Provide reliable and accurate price forecasts to both global and local finance teams to enable proper financial budgeting and planning.
- Identify and execute incremental cash opportunities.
Sustainability:
- Business partner the Sustainable Sourcing team, to identify and execute the partnerships required to meet TMICC sustainability targets.
We're looking for someone who
- Has a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
- Has 6+ years of experience in Direct/Indirect Procurement or Supply Chain functions
- Has experience in cross-functional collaboration and is able to build relationships across the business (internally & externally)
- Has strong business acumen and negotiation skills (preferably in the FMCG industry)
- Is fluent in English and Turkish (mandatory)
- Is a self-starter with strong accountability, ownership, and leadership skills; able to work independently and virtually
- Is execution-focused, analytical, and proactive
- Is results- and solution-oriented; able to solve unexpected problems at short notice
- Is comfortable working with systems such as SAP, COUPA, etc.
- Has experience in market forecasting, operations, and supply chain dynamics
- Has the ability to analyze markets, generate insights, and communicate
findings along with recommendations to the business - Has advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel and PowerPoint)
