Are you currently working in a junior finance role and ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a detail-oriented finance professional to join our team as a Site Accountant, supporting one of our key customer accounts.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong finance background who wants to develop their commercial exposure, business partnering skills, and take on greater responsibility in a fast-paced operational environment.
As Site Accountant, you will act as the lead finance contact on site, working closely with the Transport Manager and wider teams. You’ll play a key role in driving financial performance, delivering insight, and ensuring robust financial governance within an open book commercial agreement.
Responsibilities;
- Producing and reviewing daily, weekly, and monthly P&L reports, including clear variance analysis and commentary
- Supporting the preparation of customer-facing financial reports
- Completing month-end processes, including journals, cross-charges, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Analysing key performance drivers and identifying profit improvement opportunities
- Presenting weekly and monthly financial and KPI performance to stakeholders
- Partnering with operations to provide commercial insight and challenge
- Assisting with budgets and forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals
- Working collaboratively with internal teams and customers to improve reporting and processes
- Experience in a finance role (e.g. Assistant Accountant, Finance Analyst, Accounts Assistant looking to step up)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with accuracy under pressure
- Good understanding of P&L, balance sheets, and financial processes
- Confident communicator, able to build relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders
- Proactive mindset with a desire to learn, develop, and add value
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritise effectively
