Job description
- Design, define, and govern enterprise-level architecture frameworks, processes, and practices across the organization, ensuring alignment between business strategy and IT capabilities.
- Establish and manage enterprise architecture (EA) governance structures, standards, and policies to ensure consistency, interoperability, and compliance across all systems and initiatives.
- Lead the development, communication, and continuous evolution of enterprise architecture, including business, application, data, and technology domains.
- Drive the adoption and maturity of EA practices across the organization, fostering an architecture-driven culture and promoting best practices.
- Design and maintain architectural repositories, models, and documentation, ensuring traceability and reuse of architectural assets.
- Define and design interoperability, integration patterns, and interfaces between systems, ensuring seamless communication across platforms.
- Elicit, analyse, and translate business, user, and technical requirements into scalable and sustainable architectures.
- Map business goals, priorities, and expected benefits to architectural components, ensuring alignment between business outcomes and IT solutions.
- Define transition roadmaps for enterprise architecture evolution, supporting digital transformation and modernization initiatives.
- Support programs and projects in planning, risk management, harmonization, and change management, ensuring architectural compliance.
- Assess current architectures, systems portfolios, and business processes to identify optimization opportunities and cost efficiencies.
- Analyse enterprise structures, operational data, and system metrics to provide insights for improving performance and reducing costs.
- Conduct architecture maturity assessments and contribute to the continuous improvement of EA capabilities.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams implementing enterprise architecture elements.
- Prepare and deliver technical documentation, architectural blueprints, and presentations to stakeholders at all levels.
Education & Certifications
- Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field.
At least one of the following certifications (or equivalent):
- The Open Group Certified Architect (Open CA)
- Zachman Certified – Enterprise Architect
- CISSP Information Systems Security Architecture Professional (CISSP‑ISSAP)
- ITIL v3 Master certification
- Certification of Capability in Business Analysis™ (CCBA)
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience performing the role of Enterprise Architect within an organization.
- Hands-on experience in building and promoting enterprise architecture culture, practices, and standards across organizations.
- Expert-level experience in enterprise and business architecture design.
- Experience establishing and governing enterprise architecture functions and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of business process development, value streams, and capability mapping.
- Solid understanding of enterprise architecture domains and their interactions.
- Knowledge of maturity models, assessments, and enterprise architecture frameworks.
- Proficiency with system modeling and architecture tools such as Sparx Enterprise Architect, ARIS Architect, or similar.
- Familiarity with architecture frameworks and standards such as TOGAF, Zachman, Azure Well-Architected Framework, or similar.
- Strong technical knowledge across IT systems, enabling research, evaluation, and enhancement of enterprise solutions.
