Ashland has an exciting opportunity for Logistics Specialist (export and domestic) to join our Ashland Specialty Ingredients Poland Sp. z o.o. business at our Warsaw (Poland) office. This is a very visible, significant role within the Company and the Logistics function. This position will report to Logistics Manager.
The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Monitor and create deliveries, perform Goods Issue and Receipt, block damaged goods, unblock when needed
- Monitor stock levels daily to allocate inventory and inform Customer Service of incomplete or blocked orders.
- Follow up on expected inbound shipments, especially urgently needed for outbound orders
- Arrange ‘express shipments’ when required.
- Manage return orders.
- Prepare all required shipping documentation.
- Update delivery and shipment records to confirm dispatch.
- Enter freight accruals
- Help drive improvement projects within the supply chain
- Support month end closures
- Process deliveries in TMS (both export and domestic)
- Cooperate with internal and external teams
- Execute bookings
In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:
- Education background or 2-4 years’ experience in a similar position (Export Customer Service, Logistics)
- Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Experience with Microsoft Office & SAP
- Good understanding of the business process, customer service environment, warehouse, production and logistics processes.
- Strong problem-solving skills, natural curiosity, drive for efficiency
