- Impact assessments: Lead and deliver high‑quality EIAs/ESIAs, IEEs, baseline studies, and alternatives analysis; coordinate discipline inputs (air, water, noise, soil, ecology, socio‑economics).
- Permitting and clearances: Manage end‑to‑end environmental approvals (e.g., MoEF&CC/SEIAA), consent‑to‑establish/operate (SPCB), and conditions management through construction and operations.
- Environmental management plans: Develop and implement EMPs/CEMPs, biodiversity and ecosystem management plans, waste and hazardous materials management plans, spill/incident response plans, and restoration plans.
- Compliance and audits: Establish compliance matrices; conduct internal audits and site inspections; ensure closure of non‑conformances; prepare statutory and stakeholder reports.
- Monitoring and modelling: Define monitoring plans; oversee data collection and QA/QC; apply modelling tools (e.g., AERMOD/CALPUFF for air, noise propagation, water quality) to predict and mitigate impacts.
- Construction support: Integrate environmental controls into method statements, BoQs, and contractor deliverables; review and approve contractor environmental plans; verify on‑site implementation.
- Stakeholder and public consultation: Plan and facilitate consultations, hearings, and disclosures; address grievances and integrate feedback into design and EMPs.
- ESG and lender requirements: Align deliverables with IFC Performance Standards, World Bank/EBRD EHS Guidelines, Equator Principles, and client ESG frameworks where applicable.

- Experience: Minimum 12 years in environmental assessment, permitting, and compliance for infrastructure/industrial projects (e.g., transportation, water, buildings, energy, manufacturing).
- Regulatory knowledge: Strong command of Indian environmental legislation and rules (EIA Notification 2006 and amendments, Water/Air Acts, Hazardous and Other Wastes Rules, Noise Rules) and local permitting processes.
- Technical breadth: Hands‑on experience with baseline surveys, impact prediction, mitigation design, EMP/CEMP development, and contractor oversight.
- Tools and methods: Proficiency in environmental monitoring protocols, QA/QC, and analysis; working knowledge of modelling (air/noise/water), and GIS (ArcGIS/QGIS) for spatial analysis and mapping.
- Communication: Strong report writing, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.
- HSE integration: Familiarity with ISO 14001 EMS and integration with ISO 45001 and project HSE systems.
