In this role, you will lead consulting assignments, develop financial and techno-commercial models, and deliver high-quality advisory to clients across the energy storage value chain. This is an opportunity to work at the intersection of finance, technology, and clean energy — and make a meaningful impact on India's energy transition.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead consulting assignments and manage project teams in the energy storage and clean hydrogen sector
- Develop techno-commercial and financial models for standalone BESS, RE+BESS, battery manufacturing, and green hydrogen projects.
- Support clients in BESS and RE+BESS tender evaluations, bid strategy, and investment analysis.
- Conduct financial analysis including IRR, NPV, LCOS/LCOE, TCO, and sensitivity analysis.
- Analyse energy storage tender frameworks, market mechanisms, and regulatory developments
- Prepare high-quality client presentations, reports, and strategic advisory materials.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical experts, consultants, and business development teams.
- Mentor junior analysts and ensure timely execution of consulting deliverables
- Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical / Chemical / Materials / related field); MBA or Master’s in Energy or Finance preferred
- 5–7 years of experience in energy storage consulting, with a strong focus on BESS financial modelling and techno-commercial analysis
- Proven expertise in financial modelling for BESS and RE+BESS tenders in India, including bid support and project economics
- Strong financial modelling skills — IRR, NPV, LCOE/LCOS, TCO; exposure to C&I storage and battery manufacturing models preferred
- Good understanding of energy storage regulations and market frameworks in India
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and structured problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in client-facing consulting work
- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams under tight deadlines
Preferred Qualification
- Exposure to green hydrogen, battery manufacturing, or emerging clean energy technologies
- Familiarity with Indian energy market regulations, DISCOM structures, and tender frameworks
- Prior experience in a consulting or advisory firm is an advantage
Periodic travel to attend public forums, conferences and/or company quarterly meetings
