Summary The Benefits Specialist plays a critical role in delivering a reliable, compliant, and employee‑centered benefits experience across a rapidly growing, multi‑state healthcare organization. This role serves as a hands‑on subject matter expert responsible for day‑to‑day benefits administration, vendor coordination, and employee support, while using data, trends, and employee feedback to improve benefits utilization, reduce friction, and strengthen the overall employee experience. This role is ideal for someone who is detail‑oriented, service‑minded, and comfortable operating in a dynamic environment where precision, empathy, and follow‑through matter. Eligibility and data integrity, ensuring benefits elections and payroll deductions are accurate and timely Vendor and broker partnership, serving as the primary point of contact to resolve issues and escalations Open Enrollment execution, including readiness planning, communications, testing, and employee support Payroll coordination, partnering to reconcile deductions, identify variances, and resolve discrepancies Employee education and support, translating benefits information into clear, accessible guidance Documentation and audit readiness, maintaining accurate records and supporting compliance requirements This role is hands‑on and execution‑focused, with responsibility for tracking key benefits metrics (e.g., enrollment accuracy, vendor issue trends, payroll variances, and recurring employee questions) and surfacing insights to improve service quality and utilization. Who You Partner With HR Operations teammates supporting service delivery and Workday execution Payroll to ensure accurate deductions, funding, and reconciliation External brokers, carriers, and benefits administrators Employees and managers seeking guidance on benefits programs and eligibility This role is a key contributor to a stable, trustworthy HR service model.
